Guest Picks: International Home + Housewares Show

I walked several miles in this year’s International Housewares Association show in Chicago. From all those stalls and displays, these are the products that stood out the most to me. Not all can be found just yet. As mentioned, some are still in production while others are seeking distribution in the U.S. — Jen out of Second City Soiree

They’ll be available in the U.S. in late 2012 and are now available abroad.

Zoku

Zoku Character Kit – $14.95

This is a adorable kit for its popular Zoku popsicle makers. Employing the stencils, cut fruit into desirable shapes, then press on the side of this soda maker. Pour in the liquid as normal and once you eliminate the popsicle, it includes a cute face!

Sears

Prepara Ice Balls – $9.99

This item makes two-inch round balls of ice hockey. You may fill it with only water or get creative with mint leaves, basil, lemon, lemon or lime segments, etc.. Massive cubes are great for bourbon or whiskey drinks, as they won’t melt as quickly as regular ice.

Pressed Glass Goblet – $42

Doesn’t this remind you of Depression glass? These are beautiful pieces. They’d even make amazing votive holders.

Curtis Stone

Pop Out Round Cake Pan – $29.95

Pop-out bakeware! What a great idea.

Massage Chairs

Inada Sogno DreamWave Massage Chair, Creme – $7,799

As you can probably guess from the price, this is not any ordinary massage chair. I sat in it for 10 minutes? 20? Eight hours? Whatever the length of time was, it was not enough. This chair not only does the typical rubbing routine, it also calms your sore forearms and calves, and even does Thai massage style twisting on your tight buttocks. There are worse ways.
